So, I've dipped into a savings "account" that probably never will be used, and ordered a 454 Casually barrel for my Thompson Center, to be my deer rifle, as well as enable me to Chronograph loads in it to help expand common knowledge on pistol cartridges in rifle barrels. In an event of synchronicity, coworker R was getting rid of some 250gr Hornady Ftx's in 45 caliber, so I bought them off of him. This is the bullet I wanted to use to develop accurate loads with anyway. I'll probably also try to find some soft points and maybe try some hollow points. It will be interesting to see what this thing can do, velocity-wise.
